Encrypted. Offline. No accounts.

If something happens to you, your family will know where everything is.

For most families the answer today is no. They find out in the middle of an emergency, going through drawers looking for a policy number. Kinora is a private place to write these things down, so the people you love can find them when they need to.

Inside the app

Built to be opened in a hurry

Large type, plain words, and a home screen that answers one question first: can your family actually find everything?

What you can record

Everything your family would have to go looking for

Kinora is a vault, not a tracker. It holds the ordinary details. Which bank, which policy, whose name is on the nominee line, and where the papers are kept.

Asset Vault

Bank accounts, fixed deposits, insurance, investments, property and loans. For each one you record the institution, the reference number, the nominee, and where the papers are kept.

Liquidity · Investments · Property · Receivables · Liabilities

Document Vault

Attach a PDF or a photo. Or just write down where the paper copy lives, like "blue file, bedroom cupboard, second drawer". Your will, PAN, property papers, FD receipts.

Attach a file or record where it is kept

Family and Contacts

Add the people your family will need, each with a role: Owner, Viewer or Emergency Contact. Add the advisors they will have to call too, like your CA, lawyer or financial advisor.

Roles: Owner · Viewer · Emergency Contact

Emergency Packet

One tap turns everything into a clear PDF you can print. What there is, where the papers are, who to call, and what to do. Your family opens it over WhatsApp or email. No app and no account needed.

One PDF your family can open without installing anything

Family Readiness Score

A score out of 100 that shows how prepared your family really is, and tells you what is still missing. This is what the home screen leads with, not your net worth.

Readiness first. Net worth is secondary

Emergency Checklist

A step by step list your family can follow, called "If Something Happens To Me". It covers bank accounts, insurance, investments, property, loans and who to contact.

Step by step, in the order it needs doing

How it works

Three steps, and you can stop at one

You do not need to do all of it today. Adding a single asset already puts your family ahead of most.

  1. Write down what you have

Add an asset. The bank, the policy, the loan. Record the reference number, the nominee, and where the papers are kept. You do not have to do all of it today.

  2. Add the people who will need it

Your spouse, your children, and the advisors your family would have to call. Give each person a role so it is clear who does what.

  3. Hand them one file

Create the Emergency Packet and share it however you like. It is a plain PDF, so your family can open it without installing Kinora or creating an account.

What changes

The gap this closes

These are the five problems Kinora was built around, taken from the families the app was designed for.

  • Nothing stays scattered

Accounts, FDs, policies, property papers and loans stop living across files, phones, emails, cupboards and memory. They live in one place.

  • Your family is not in the dark

A spouse who does not know every bank account. Children who do not know the insurance details. That is the gap the packet closes.

  • Nothing goes unclaimed

Policies and investments go unclaimed because nobody knew they existed. Once they are written down, they get claimed.

  • The right people get called

Your CA, lawyer, financial advisor, employer and insurance agent. Written down before they are needed, instead of searched for afterwards.

Privacy & security

Private because there is nowhere else for it to go

Kinora has no servers and no accounts. That is not a policy we promise to keep. It is how the app is built.

It runs on your phone

There are no servers and no accounts. The app makes no internet requests at all. No usage data, no crash reports, nothing in the background.

We never receive your information

So there is nothing for us to sell, share, leak or hand over. There is no account to close, because there is no account.

Locks you control

A fingerprint or PIN lock, a private area with its own PIN, auto lock, and a one tap way to hide every balance when someone is looking over your shoulder.

Android will not quietly copy your vault

Android backs most apps up to your Google account by default. We turned that off. A policy that says nothing leaves your phone has to mean it.

Your vault is encrypted on the phone

The database is protected with AES-256 encryption, and the key that opens it is created on your phone and held in the Android Keystore. Copy the file off the device and it is unreadable.

Backups are encrypted and yours

The backup file is encrypted on your phone with AES-256-GCM, then handed to the share menu so you choose where it goes. We never see it.

Screenshots are blocked on Android

The app blocks screenshots and screen recording while it is open, and hides its contents in the recent apps preview. We say "on Android" because iPhones do not allow this.

What Kinora does not protect you from

Most apps put this in a policy nobody reads. We would rather tell you the limits than let you assume more protection than you have. The same four points appear inside the app itself.

  • The key to your vault lives on your phone

That is what lets Kinora work with no account and no password you could forget. But it also means encryption cannot protect a phone someone else is holding unlocked. Keep a screen lock on your phone and turn on the app lock in Settings — that is the risk worth guarding against, far more than anyone attacking the encryption.

  • Do not store passwords, OTPs or ATM PINs

This is the most important line we write. Record where things are kept, not the things themselves. "The locker key is in the bedroom safe" helps your family. The key itself does not belong here.

  • The Emergency Packet is not password protected

Anyone who receives that PDF can open it. Treat it like a photocopy of your passport and share it only with people you trust.

  • If the phone is lost and there is no backup, it is gone

We hold no copy of your information, so there is nothing for us to restore from. Please take a backup, and keep your recovery code somewhere safe.

Why Kinora

Not another finance app

Most finance apps open on a number going up or down. Kinora opens on a different question entirely.

A vault, not a tracker

Kinora is not an asset manager, a net worth tracker, an investment tool or a wealth dashboard. It does not tell you what to invest in and it never connects to your bank.

Readiness before net worth

Most finance apps open on a number going up or down. Kinora opens on a different question. Can your family actually find everything? That is what the home screen scores.

Your family does not need the app

No invitations, no accounts for your spouse, no syncing. The Emergency Packet is an ordinary PDF that opens on any phone or computer.

Honest about its limits

We publish what the app does not protect you from, both in the app and on this site. An app that asks to hold your family’s financial map should tell you where it is weak.

Built for Indian households

Nominee lines, FDs, PAN, CA and lawyer contacts, and amounts in lakhs and crores. The whole app is available in English and हिन्दी.

No business model built on your data

There is no advertising and no analytics. We never receive your information, so it cannot become the product.

Start with one thing

You do not have to do all of it today. Add one asset. Write down one person to call. That is already more than most families have.
